Professional Portraits: Walker 4 years and Tripp 9 Months

Halloween 2009: Tripp's 1st!

We had a fun time on Tripp's 1st Halloween and our first Halloween in our new house. A few weeks before Halloween I asked Walker what he thinks his brother should be for Halloween and he replied, "candy." I thought that was really cute and couldn't resist! He is our little Tootsie Roll and I often say that I could just eat him up!!! Walker knew a long time ago that he wanted to be a baseball player for Halloween. I just love how Trippy is reaching his arm over to his brother in the picture.

Walker and his friend, Brooks, getting ready to go Trick-or-Treating. Aren't they handsome little fellows!

And off we go to get some candy! Mommy and Ms. Karen stayed with Tripp on the front porch and gave out candy while Daddy and Mr. Charlie took the boys out.

Walker and Tripp in their costumes before all the festivities began. Mommy was very happy that the boys cooperated and gave her some cute pictures!

This is Walker's classroom at school. The top picture is when they were leaving to go visit other classrooms and Walker got to be the line leader! He is having a great time at school and is learning so much every day! We are so glad he has been a part of this school since he was 1!

Pumpkin Patch 2009

We didn't get to make it to the pumpkin patch at the local farm, but we went close by and picked out some pumpkins on a Sunday morning. The boys had a good time and we got some cute pictures, so Mommy was happy!

Oh yes, I found the hay. It didn't take me long!

Cheese!!

What a handsome young man...if I do say so myself.

One word comes to mind...precious!!

And I found some more hay Mommy!! I just can't resist picking it up and playing with it and putting it in my mouth. I'll be okay though I promise!

Out and About

Brrr....it's getting cold outside!! Why has mommy put this hat on me and now she is taking my picture?? I guess I am just too adorable!

Walker getting ready to go to the Predators game with Daddy. Have I mentioned how much he LOVES sports...all sports...really...truly! We will have a full schedule in a few years if he plays all that he says he wants to play:)

My first time in the shopping cart without my old infant carrier!! I am getting to be such a big boy! There was a nice breeze this day and I just love feeling the wind against my face.

Trippy's First BIG BOY Bath!

Well, Tripp is a little over 7 months old and has been sitting up well for a few weeks, so we let him have a bath all by himself! He loves bathtime and he loves his rubber duckie...as you can see! He did a really good job for his first bath. Anytime we even go near the bathroom he does his excited little gasp and kicks his legs and thinks it time for bath...it is too adorable!

Our New Home

On September 4th, 2009, we closed on our new home! This process was definitely more stressful than when we built our old house! But, it is done and everything went smoothly and are enjoying getting settled in. Moving....uughh!!! In the past, quirky me had always enjoyed the moving process...cleaning out the clutter and decorating something new. Not with kids!!! I wish I had an "easy" button and could just press it and be done...lol!!! As overwhelming as it was though, we had completely outgrown our first home and it was time to upgrade. At times it still feels like we are on vacation in this house....is this really ours?? Yes! I am extremely thankful to DJ for working so hard at his company and supporting us as he does. My job right now is to raise our boys until they are in school and I feel so blessed to be able to do this and still be so fortunate as to have such a beautiful, spacious home!

Our New Home in Brandywine Pointe

Ahh, the pool!!! We knew we wanted a pool and truly lucked out with finding a house we love WITH one already:) And did I mention, there is also a hot tub....hehehe!!!

The view from our fabulous deck! We know our boys are going to have so much fun...and Mommy and Daddy and our friends and family too:)

Before going out onto the deck, we have a covered back patio as well! The layout and design of this home was exactly what we were looking for and then we saw the backyard and knew this was our house....it is gorgeous and we can't wait to share it with our friends and family!!! Can't wait for many, many visits:)

Tripp: 7, 8 and 9 Month Photo

Well, I'm obviously a little behind in downloading photos! Below are Trippy's 7, 8 and 9 month pictures. Tripp is now almost 10 months old and is such a sweet, happy boy. It is a fun time right now that I am trying to cherish and savor. Everything is going well...he is eating like a horse, sleeping great (although he is an early riser...ugghh!), and adores his big brother! He makes the funniest gasping sound when he gets really excited. We are still not crawling. He is SO close...will get on his hands and knees and rock and go backwards, just hasn't quite grasped going forward yet! I would say the challenge we are experiencing right now is the Mommy separation anxiety. He definitely loves his mommy and LOVES to be held! He will do just fine with anyone if I am not in eye sight, but if those little eyes see me....well, he wants me. A normal phase and it will pass.

The Wiggles: LIVE!

In August, Walker and I went to see the WIGGLES! I think I was more excited than Walker. He doesn't watch the Wiggles anymore, but that was the first show that he really got into from about 2 to 3 yrs of age.

Brotherly Love

The pictures below are the 1st time I put the boys together in the bath...gotta love the Bumbo seat!!! Never had that with Walker and it is wonderful...love it! We plopped the seat in the tub and put Tripp in it and my boys are bathing together now!! It saves us some time and boys enjoy it. Tripp had such a good time and could not stop kicking his little feet and chewing on that beloved ducky!! The other pictures are in Walker's room having some brotherly play time. Have I mentioned that I LOVE my boys:)

Oh and just for my own memory, the date on the blog for these pics is November, but Mommy is a little behind and these pictures were actually from Summer 2009...Tripp was about 6-7 months.

Sounds Game and Daddy's Birthday!

For DJ's birthday, we had a date night with Walker and went to dinner and a Sounds Game. It was Walker's 1st Sounds game, but not his first baseball game. He does so well at sporting events. He has always been our little athlete with a true love for all sports! I can't wait to watch him play his games one day!! We might be pretty busy though as he says he wants to play golf, football, hockey, baseball, tennis and volleyball....whew!!

Tripp is Half a Year Old (5 month pic added too)!!

Where has the time gone? Our baby boy is SIX months old!!! I know I've said it before, but he is such a HAPPY baby! He is doing so many new things each day. He can roll over both ways now. He is gut laughing...especially at Walker! He loves Peek-a-boo and Patty Cake. He is so ticklish, especially around his neck! He is eating foods and drinking juice. He is talking, babbling, grunting and yelling. And, he is so curious! Noises and sounds do not get by him, for sure! He has picked up on Walker's shows...manily Curious George...anytime the theme song comes on, he orients himself to the TV and just laughs and kicks until the song is over and then he goes back to whatever he was doing...it is a site! He is our precious boy! I cannot say enough how blessed we are. Tripp's 6 month well visit with the Dr. went great! His height is in the 97th percentile and weight is in the 90th...he is following in big brother's footsteps...going to be a tall, solid little boy! Sleep is also going great. We are settling into two naps per day now. He is going night night about 6ish (yes, its early, but yes he is ready...we cannot hold him off) and he sleeps until anytime from about 5 to 6am. I do not go get him though before 6am...so when he does wake earlier, he will fuss and play and fuss and play until we go get him. And, such a happy boy in the morning, but such a hungry boy...ready for breakfast he is!!!

The picture below is actually Tripp's 5 month picture. The time got away from Mommy and she never posted it...sorry!

Tripp's 1st Juice and Sippy!

Tripp is SIX months now and got to have juice for the first time...just as his brother did! We got the sippy out and diluted the apple juice with water and gave it to Trippy. Of course, it will take some time for him to get the hang of it. All he really wanted to do was chew on the mouth piece. Hang in there Tripp, you'll get it!!!
