Tripp is Half a Year Old (5 month pic added too)!!

Where has the time gone? Our baby boy is SIX months old!!! I know I've said it before, but he is such a HAPPY baby! He is doing so many new things each day. He can roll over both ways now. He is gut laughing...especially at Walker! He loves Peek-a-boo and Patty Cake. He is so ticklish, especially around his neck! He is eating foods and drinking juice. He is talking, babbling, grunting and yelling. And, he is so curious! Noises and sounds do not get by him, for sure! He has picked up on Walker's shows...manily Curious George...anytime the theme song comes on, he orients himself to the TV and just laughs and kicks until the song is over and then he goes back to whatever he was doing...it is a site! He is our precious boy! I cannot say enough how blessed we are. Tripp's 6 month well visit with the Dr. went great! His height is in the 97th percentile and weight is in the 90th...he is following in big brother's footsteps...going to be a tall, solid little boy! Sleep is also going great. We are settling into two naps per day now. He is going night night about 6ish (yes, its early, but yes he is ready...we cannot hold him off) and he sleeps until anytime from about 5 to 6am. I do not go get him though before 6am...so when he does wake earlier, he will fuss and play and fuss and play until we go get him. And, such a happy boy in the morning, but such a hungry boy...ready for breakfast he is!!!

The picture below is actually Tripp's 5 month picture. The time got away from Mommy and she never posted it...sorry!

Tripp's 1st Juice and Sippy!

Tripp is SIX months now and got to have juice for the first time...just as his brother did! We got the sippy out and diluted the apple juice with water and gave it to Trippy. Of course, it will take some time for him to get the hang of it. All he really wanted to do was chew on the mouth piece. Hang in there Tripp, you'll get it!!!

Happy 4th 2009!

My baby boys on 4th of July morning! I could just eat them up!!! We didn't really do much this 4th of July. It is hard to get out for long periods of time with Tripp, especially when it is so hot! But, this time is so precious and goes by so fast, that I really don't mind. Walker went to the pool with Daddy in the afternoon and we did some fireworks before night night.

Trippy's 1st Fourth of July!!

Walker first experience with fireworks. Of course, Mommy would only let him do a sparkler, but he did get to watch Daddy do a couple of bigger ones...but then the rain hit...boo!!
Happy Birthday America...Peace!

Playtime and More!

The next three pictures are some of Tripp's playtime. We recently got out the jumparoo and the exersaucer. You should see him in the jumparoo. It is hilarious once he gets going...up, down, up, down...and he just laughs!

Walker below sitting on our patio before night night. My sweet baby boy! He is our cuddly, loveable and truly kind-hearted angel.

The next two pictures are Trippy playing. Of course, everything goes in the mouth now and I mean everything!! He definitely keeps us on our toes making sure he hasn't put something in his mouth that he shouldn't!

This picture below was taken actually while laying in the bathtub during a tornado warning! It was pretty scary...the weather was reporting a tornado in the Hermitage area. So, I woke BOTH the boys up from a peaceful nap to get them in the tub with blankets and pillows and me on top of them! They were great troopers. Of course, I had to stay calm (eventhough I was really scared)and this helped Walker to not get scared, but once we were in the clear, I had to get a picture of this cuddly moment with my boys!

Tripp's First Baby Food!

Just as Walker did, Trippy had his first baby food at 5 months....sweet potatoes!! As you can see, he enjoyed it and wanted more after we were done. I was really worried that Tripp might be a more picky eater since Walker was always such a great one, but so far, Trippy LOVES his food. I am actually posting this a few weeks afterward and he has since had in addition, carrots, green beans, bananas, apples, peas, prunes and pears. His next new food will be squash. And let me tell you, he devours every bite!!! He gets so excited when he sees I am getting his food ready...kicking, babbling and then just leaves his mouth wide open waiting for a bite...it is a site!
Ooohh...that was good!

And of course, big brother was in on all the excitement of Tripp's first food!!

Putt-Putt and Father's Day

DJ, Walker and I recently started a new tradition in order to give him some quality time with mom and dad away from baby brother. Family Date Night! This night we had dinner and then went for Putt-Putt and ice cream. Walker is an AMAZING golfer! He has loved it since he was 2 and he has continued to get better and better. He has recently been focusing on putting so we thought...putt-putt!! We'll have you know that each of us made a hole-in-one on separate holes...and this was Walker's first time and he made a hole-in-one!!! He loved it!!!

After putt-putt, playing some ski-ball and trying to cool off!!! Walker is such the little athlete, his ski-balls kept missing the holes completely and the netting and going all over the place because he throws so strong!
Some of you already know, but for those of you that have never seen Walker's "it's cold" face...this is it! He has been doing this probably since the first time he had ice cream!

Firestation Tour and Knoxville Trip

Below are some pictures from our MOMS club trip to the local firestation. Walker had such a good time. The firefighters gave us a complete tour of their station. The best part for Walker was when they had two emergencies while we were there...the sirens rang, we had to hurry out of the way so the trucks could leave, sirens and all!! Thank you to all of our firefighters for all you do to protect us!
On a side note, after this visit, Walker had a small phase where he was afraid of our firealarms in the house. It took a few days of reassuring and explaining how they work, but we made it through! Apparently, he was afraid that fire was going to come out of the firealarm! Everytime we would leave the room, he would say, "Mommy, the firealarm won't go off?" He was so worried fire was going to come out of it! Now that it's over, I can look back and say how adorable!! A cute memory to cherish. Thank goodness, he made it through:)
Walker and I got to get away for a night and go visit Aunt Stephanie and the girls in Knoxville! Daddy stayed with the baby...so it was a "date" weekend for Walker and I. We had a good time. Even better, Brent kept the kids once it was time for night night and Steph and I got to have some "girlfriend" time with wine and a great dinner!

Walker obviously has a great time with his girls...Sydney and Finley! They were all in PJ's getting ready for night night!
